Podcast Episode #40: Seasonal Considerations in the National Parks
We had a lot of experience visiting parks in the off-season during our year in on the road.
Because most people visit the parks in the summer (when we were in Alaska), we never felt a true “peak” season. We were happy to not have to deal with the crowds all the time, but we also had to navigate the parks in their off-season quite differently.
There are a lot of pros and cons to visiting a national park during its off-season, and we lay those out (while reflecting on our time in Lassen Volcanic and Mount Rainier) in today’s podcast!
We’d love to hear from you! Leave a comment or voicemail below about anything national parks related — favorite hikes, your questions for us, or tips you have for our listeners — to be featured on a future podcast. If we use your question or comment, we’ll send you a free 5×7 national parks print!
