Whooaaaaaa.

I can’t believe it’s already Tuesday and time for another episode of Switchbacks! 4th of July last week super messed with my understanding of time.

Hope you all had a great short holiday week and were able to spend some time celebrating our country! Even though it’s hard sometimes to be proud of where we live, especially in our current political climate, we still have much to be thankful for.

…including the national parks. Everyone loves the national parks!

Today’s episode of the podcast features someone else who loves the national parks as much as we do. That man is Mikah Meyer, and he is currently on an epic, three-year continuous mission to visit all 417 national parks.

(Yes! There are more than 59 national parks. We explain that in this post.)

Mikah’s mission goes beyond just seeing the parks for himself, though. He consistently shares his experiences on his social media and website.

We’ll let Mikah take over now as he explains his inspiration for traveling, his aim to serve as a new kind of LGBT role model, and his message about the national parks we love.

If you enjoyed the podcast, we’d love for you to share us with a friend, give us a rating on iTunes, find us on FacebookInstagram, or Twitter.

And you can always get more National Parks videos, posts, guides and more by perusing our website. Start here if you’re new.

(If you choose to leave a voice message, you have 60 seconds. Please include your first name!)

Thanks for listening to Switchbacks!
